Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20/08/2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Alpi TEK uses cookies and similar technologies on alpitek.com.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website can store on or read from your browser or device. Similar technologies can be used for related purposes, such as maintaining a secure session, remembering a preference, measuring website use or supporting advertising.
2. Our current approach
Alpi TEK currently operates primarily as a content and information website. Strictly necessary technologies may be used when required for WordPress administration, security, login/session handling or another function you request. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are not intended to be activated until the appropriate consent configuration is in place.
3. WordPress and WooCommerce cookies that may be used
The exact cookies present depend on which features you use and whether you are logged in. WordPress and WooCommerce may use cookies such as the following when the corresponding functionality is active:
| Cookie / pattern | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
wordpress_test_cookie | Tests whether the browser accepts cookies, mainly around WordPress login functionality | Session |
wordpress_logged_in_[hash] | Keeps an authenticated WordPress user logged in | Session / up to about 14 days depending on login choice |
wordpress_sec_[hash] | Secure authentication for protected WordPress areas | Session / up to about 14 days depending on login choice |
wp-settings-[UID] and wp-settings-time-[UID] | Remembers WordPress interface preferences for logged-in users | About 1 year |
woocommerce_cart_hash / woocommerce_items_in_cart | Keeps track of cart changes when WooCommerce shopping features are active | Session |
wp_woocommerce_session_[hash] | Associates a WooCommerce visitor with cart/session data when store functions are active | Typically about 2 days |
In Alpi TEK’s current Content Only store mode, public shopping and checkout functions are disabled. WooCommerce-related cookies may become relevant if the store mode is changed later.
4. Optional analytics and advertising cookies
Google Analytics, Google AdSense or other optional tracking/advertising technologies should not be loaded for visitors who have not provided the consent required by applicable law. If these services are activated later, this policy will be updated with the relevant providers, purposes, cookie names, durations and consent controls.
5. Consent and your choices
Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, visitors will be offered a genuine choice before those technologies are activated. The consent interface should allow acceptance and refusal of optional technologies and provide a way to change the choice later.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login or other requested website functions from working correctly.
6. Third-party content
Some pages may link to or embed services provided by third parties. A third-party service may have its own cookies and privacy rules. Where an embedded service requires non-essential tracking, it should be connected to the applicable consent controls before loading.
7. Updates to this Cookie Policy
The cookie list can change when WordPress, WooCommerce, hosting/security services or optional analytics/advertising features change. This page will be reviewed when new tracking technologies are introduced.
